Classics Reclaimed:

Creativity, Community & Connection

Over the summer of 2020, Tiger's Hearts hosted a series of monthly events called Classics Reclaimed. This was an online space where we could reconnect as a community and explore classical materials together, from ancient mythology to early modern playwrights. We were also able to host extra events with groups like Sagesse Calgary, who provide support and educational opportunities towards breaking the cycle of violence against women and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

We are so thankful to have shared these times together and we hope to revive the series as an online/in-person hybrid when it's safe to do so.

Until then, check out some of our fantastic readings in the videos below!

We are honoured to create and tell stories in ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (Amiskwacîwâskahikan) on Treaty 6/Métis Territory. We are immensely grateful to the many Indigenous peoples whose footsteps have marked this land for countless generations, and we humbly offer our gifts as story-tellers and change-makers towards the work of truth and reconciliation.
